At Seniors Helping Seniors® South Central Ct / Shoreline, we have a passion for meeting the needs of seniors in a way that provides both dignity and a sense of camaraderie. Our owner(s) Debra Danker firmly believe we can do that through serving seniors in our community, which includes: East Haven, Branford, Guilford, and surrounding areas.
Debra Danker is a life long resident of Connecticut, who comes to Seniors Helping Seniors home health care CT services from a 30-year nursing career, the majority of which has focused her skills on caring for the aging population primarily in community home health care settings. "Helping seniors is not really a job; to me it is enjoyable and rewarding time well spent with someone who needs and appreciates help," says Deb.
As a veteran of the healthcare system, Deb knows the ins and outs of in-home care. Through her experiences, she has realized how important it is for seniors to receive the help they need to remain as independent as possible. "We at Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services know how difficult it is to satisfy all of the needs and concerns of seniors, and their families who really want the best for them. Our goal is to satisfy each senior’s needs, with the assistance of another senior, who is compatible, dependable and who wants to help."
Deb understands that it has become increasingly more difficult for seniors to get their needs met through the traditional healthcare system. This has left a large part of our senior population and their loved ones, facing life-altering decisions about their continued survival. This is where Deb and Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services come in and provide those services necessary for seniors to remain happy and safe in their own homes.
"Experience tells me that we at Seniors Helping Seniors in-home services are very different than those at other companies providing In-Home Care Services. We are unique in that we match seniors in need with other loving, caring and compassionate seniors, who are comfortable and happy giving to their fellow seniors so they can remain safe, happy and independent in their homes. This not only provides seniors and their families with help, security, comfort and a chance to reduce the stress of unmet needs, but also gives our senior providers the opportunity to feel needed, to stay socially active and, even to make new friends. This is a win-win-win situation for those of us seeking meaning and fulfillment in our lives, while helping an undeniably valuable generation…we seniors!"
It is easy to understand why Deb chose to join the Seniors Helping Seniors family. She realizes that there are not only many seniors today that need help but there are also many that have the need to help. Her mission is to work to find ways that seniors can help each other, so that each can benefit from their skills and experience, can retain their pride and dignity and can improve the quality of life of the senior citizens in our communities.
